Chronic stress can lead to a plethora of health conditions such as depression and anxiety, gastrointestinal issues, unintentional weight gain or loss, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, strokes, menstrual problems, frequent colds and flu infections, skin disorders, autoimmune diseases and other health conditions! It is believed that women deal with stress in different ways than men! Women are highly likely to "protect and support" their close loved ones, whilst also drawing on support from family and friends! When stress does occur, it is crucial to take a time out! Sometimes that time out is a way of preventing further undue stress! Being wise is key, even if it is for a five minutes! Let’s be realistic, we all have to deal with stress, but there are steps you can take to help yourself handle stress in a healthy way to prevent it from making you sick!
