What is Oxidative Stress/Free Radicals?
Oxidative stress is a physiological stress response in the body that results from an imbalance between antioxidants and free radicals (reactive oxygen species) which are waste matter derived from series of cellular reactions. Free radicals to some extent are considered to be normal and essential for the healing process. However when antioxidants become overwhelmed by free radicals over time this leads to virtually an open invitation to leaving you exposed to tissue and cell damage and result in laying the foundations to a chronic disease.
